My WordPress performance and security audit provides a comprehensive overview of your WordPress site to determine what issues you may be having with your website, and most importantly, how to fix them.
Included in my report
I’ll check through your plugin list to identify any outdated plugins or conflicts.
I’ll use security scanners to check your site for any vulnerabilities.
I’ll look at your theme’s code to identify ways of improving this to increase the performance of your site.
I’ll check the site for performance issues using YSlow and Google Page Speed.
I’ll check your user accounts to ensure strong passwords and audit administrator accounts.
I’ll check your WooCommerce configuration for any UX issues.
How it Works
You might have identified performance issues related to your theme, plugins or your hosting provider – my audit identifies these issues. Often clients want an audit because they have an existing site that was built by another developer but the site now has problems. The report provides clarity on where your problems lie and how to fix them.
I’ll also perform this audit if you want me to support and maintain your website so that there are no surprises for either of us when we look after your site.
I’ll start with an initial phone consultation to talk through what problems you’ve been having. I’ll ask you to create an Administrator account for me to login and use during the audit process.
The outcome of our audit is an an easy-to-understand document that gives clear recommendations to improve your website’s performance and security. This is hand-written specific to your website, prepared by me. If your website is working 100% as expected then I’ll tell you that too.
Once your report is complete, I’ll provide ideas on how best to tackle any issues. Typically this involves a fixed period of development work to correct any plugin or theme issues which will measurably improve your site’s performance.
I’ll review your current site, its’ theme and plugins to check that everything is as it should be.
A complete site audit is a powerful asset, it’s like having a full service done on your car. Alerting and making you aware of any problems that might be brewing before they have a larger effect on your website and ability to operate your business.
I’ll take a quick look at your site to see how big an audit you may need (99% of the time a few hours is enough and a typical audits cost £100).
